This is the scenery for “Reina Beatrix International Airport” situated in Aruba.
The scenery was designed thanks to the help of our friend Jairo (Hyro) Oduber (hyrooduber@hotmail.com) who supplied me with images of the airport as well as important characteristics of it.
But it’s not all images in a design; the most important is the platform used in the designs
which gives a touch of realism to the sceneries and all this thanks to the powerfull
object designer tool from NOVA and the new NOVAsim designed by our partner Rafael Sanchez http://www.fsnova.com/ as well as FS Architect 2002 disigned by Mr. Douglas A. Pouk http://www.pouksim.com/ which is one of the most complete platforms for scenery design.

Some moving objects were added in this scenery like for example at Gate 3, 4, 7 & 8 where fuel and baggage trucks will move when approaching an aircraft to the gate.
The taxiway signs were realized with TaxiwaySigns tool.
http://www.taxiwaysigns.com/
With this scenery you will also be able to enjoy a more realistic city which was realized
with the new FS2002 autogen from FSLandclass.
http://www.fssharecenter.com/fslandclass/

The scenery has diffent levels of complexity so it can be adjusted for a more suitable frame rate; from slower machines to high performance ones.
The scenery was tested with all settings to the max in a Pentium IV 1.3Mhz 512 Ram
with a Geforce 3mx200 which resulted in a 12 to 24 frame rate.

How to install the Scenery:

Install the file Aruba2002.exe which will create a new folder named Aruba2002 with subfolders Scenery, Texture & ciudad de Aruba (City of Aruba).

C:\Aruba2002
\Scenery
\Texture
\ciudad de Aruba
\AFCAD
Important (Copy the file LCE78N05.bgl which will be located in the “ciudad de aruba” folder to the Scenery subfolder of the FS2002 Example C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Fs2002\Scenery) otherwise you will not see the city.

The folder AFCAD contains the file tnca1.txt which needs to be imported by the AFCAD Ver. 1.2 program and saved so it will be compiled in FS2002.
This file is simply for the coordination of the intelligent traffic at the Aruban airport.
The AFCAD Ver. 1.2 can be downloaded from http://www.SurClaro , it's called afcad122.zip

This new Aruba scenery requires the NOVA textures. You will also need the NOVA effects
which can be downloaded from my page Effects.zip
Note: if you already have the NOVA Texture & Effects installed in their respective folders of your FS2002 it’s not required that you reinstall them, otherwise you can get them at http://www.fsnova.com/ the necessary files are :
NovaTxt1.zip
novatxt3.zip
NovaGt1.zip

You can also download them from SurClaro. These 3 files need to be unzipped to your FS2002\Texture directory. Once finished start your FS2002, go to World/Scenery Library & click add area. In the box search the directory C:\Aruba2002 & press OK to start
flying.
Note: The scenery can be copied to any directory of your choice as long as you remember
where you put it when installing the scenery in your FS2002.

Aruba2002.exe has the following compressed files

Scenery -> has files *.bgl
Texture -> has textures
File_id.diz -> describes the scenery
Readme.txt -> english translation
Leer.txt -> spanish document
Leer.doc -> spanish document
Ejemplo.jpg ->

If you would like to learn how to make a scenery installation you can download the file
called instalacion de escenarios.zip from my page.
